WWMT - What Would Morten Think?

I was wondering: How do you think Morten Veland, former Tristania mastermind, feels about the music since his departure? There have obviously been some major changes, not just with the femme vocalist, but with the overall sound. Thoughts?

I have no idea...it's diferent than the music he was making.I guess he left Tristania because he didn't like the style they wanted to move in.

I don't like new Tristania music...there are some cool songs,but....I really miss symphonic elements,choirs,strings,orchestra.

I know Morten likes such elements,because he used choirs even on Seven destinies and a downfall

Morten would think something along the lines of "Wtf have you done to my band?"

As much as I like both eras of the band, they're very different. His way was less mainstream and more pure gothic metal.

um I adore new tristania and I'm sure he would respect what Tristania are doing

I dont think that his opinion about Tristania is important. As you can see, Tristania is more famous than Sirenia, with a greater number of fans and Sirenia was a good band, but now they dont have a good singer and their music is boring to my taste. At six and seven and Elixir (...) are really good but the last album is so bad..

I think he kept on loving music very much because he kept on writing beautiful songs without any rancour towards Tristania... anyway.. his music is changed very much.. the sound and his voice are different.. but I think his personality is changed too...

I don't think he is worry about Tristania. After all hes been busying focusing on Sirenia's new cd and having to get yet another new singer and get her use to the band. And plus its been awhile since he was with Tristania to will what they're doing now most likely doesn't nag at him anymore.
